Horse Stables

Finding A Suitable Horse Stable

Horse stables run by trained professionals are a good place to keep your horse, if you do not own a big property. You may also stable your horse at a friends place or a livery yard as another option. Care should be taken with a stabled horse as he is prone to develop stable vices. Vices develop due to boredom and horses need place to run about.

A Happy Stabled Horse

To ensure that you have a happy stabled horse, care should be taken. Take care that your horse moves around a field or paddock during the day. If you are not able to exercise your horse regularly then this is a good option of workout. If the livery yard does not have fields around for your horse to run around then you need to help him. Get distracting toys for him and make his stable warm and cozy. Make him feel happy. Ride your horse or let him graze, taking the horse out of the stable helps. If your horse does not get enough exercise then provide him with a low energy diet. Talk to the veterinarian or the yard manager regarding his diet. If he’s stabled at your home then you are lucky. Help him to enjoy his stay. Let him have plenty of exercise and fresh air. A healthy horse is a happy horse.
